Heather has 20 years of experience as a Physical Therapist and 10 years of experience as a business owner.  She has dedicated the past 6 years to serving and providing optimal care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through waiver services..  She has created a team of compassionate, caring, and professional clinicians at Therapeutic Wellness Consultation (TWC) who put advocating for their clients as top priority.  She enjoys providing a supportive work environment that focuses on teamwork, collaboration, and growth mindset.  Outside of work Heather enjoys spending time with her two teenage children, teaching yoga, traveling, and spending time in nature.

Melissa Colwell, Lead Clinical Consulting Advisor, OTR/L

My name is Melissa and I am a second-career occupational therapist (OT). Previously, I worked in the fitness industry as a yoga instructor, personal trainer, and operations manager. I chose Therapeutic Wellness Consultants (TWC) because they foster a positive work environment and sense of belonging, and ensure their clinicians feel valued for the remarkable work they do. TWC also embodies the same personal and professional values as I do, filling a much-needed gap in the continuity of care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). My role is to facilitate holistic collaboration, creative problem solving, and integrative support plans, so that caregivers and other support providers are well-equipped to help clients reach their full potential. I strive to develop authentic, trusting relationships with my clients and their supports, and I love to incorporate playfulness whenever I can. OT’s put the FUN in FUNctional! In my free time, I enjoy hiking, cooking new recipes, and snuggling with my two beautiful pups.

Nicola Fiem is a board-certified SHRM HR Business Consultant and founder of MF HR Business Consulting. With a strong foundation in healthcare, supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nicola brings expertise in organizational strategy, human resources, and operational management. Over the past year, she has provided consultation to TWC in HR compliance, workforce development, and business operations, with a specialized focus on healthcare systems.

Her decision to collaborate with TWC is driven by a deep alignment with the organization’s mission and values. TWC’s dedication to equipping clinicians with autonomy, independence, and instrumental resources reflects Nicola’s own commitment to fostering sustainable, people-centered business practices.
